Yesterday I watched Promising Young Woman (2020) directed by Emerald Fennell and I really enjoyed this movie. It was very slick and the ending was unexpected.
As an Indian, I am not unfamiliar with the molestation that women face in our society. Watching a Western movie that depicted the sexual assault in colleges in the West and its devastating impact on individuals and society was truly eye-opening.
I was astounded to learn that Emerald Fennell made her directorial debut with Promising Young Woman. I’m eagerly looking forward to watching her movies. In fact, I recently discovered that she also directed the movie Saltburn (2023), which was a fantastic watch.
